The role of the oil industry is also very prevalent in everyday life – the industry provides over 80% of the worlds transport fuel need and accounts for about 50% of the worlds energy needs.

Due to the technology in use in the oil industry, the industry heavily relies on skilled workers to safely fill a large number of positions. There are a large number of roles available – from operating machinery on the rigs, through to operate computer based systems. There are also a number of labouring type positions available for the right workers.
